Calabrese is...

A bagstore in Turku centre, originating since 1915, which birthstory goes like this:
In the year of 1912 Giovanni Calabrese (born 15.3.1889) came from Italy to Finland, to the town of Pori, where he established a spot in the marketplace with his friend Barbato in 1915 - and later a bagfactory and a common store in 1916.

In 1932 Calabrese moved to Turku with his family, where he founded a factory and a store bearing his name. Later that store was continued by Sylvi (Calabrese by birth) and Wilhelm Casagrande.

In 15th of May 1971 the store burned down, which also put an end to the factory. After the fire the store moved to its current location in Kauppiaskatu 11, where the store still goes on by the name of Laukku Calabrese Ky Marina (Casagrande by birth) Sysimetsä - with the strenght of three workers and the experience of 91 years in business.
